I don't know about anyone else, but I have several craft subscriptions going, and am so far behind, I have to put on a wait period and catch up on all the past projects.  Right now that would be  2014.  I started doing table work of all kinds to use as a past time to quit smoking, and as a meditation.  Nothing takes me to that place faster.  I also started it as a counterbalance to my writing, to give another creative outlet to bust out of writers block.  The problem is that I spend more time shopping or looking at eye-candy and YouTube how to videos instead of crafting, and I'm not getting Any writing done at all, till I started writing this entry.

I know many of you can sympathize.

Guilting myself doesn't work, all the sholda coulda, wouldas.  But laughter does work - and I know that I am not the only one.  A title of one of my favorite books is calles We Are Not Alone.  Another is Goddess of the Last Minute.

I feel better knowing that I have been working on the same needlework  tapestries for years now, but the point isn't to finish them.  I want to live my life, not go blind by needlework or get carpal tunnel syndrome because I never learned ergonomic ways of doing things.

But they are wonderful meditation activities that can lead into prayer.

I'm beginning to think, , if I can't give them or the eye-candy magazines up - maybe that is where my writing should follow?
